The past year has brought plenty to celebrate for Stiltz. From industry awards to workplace accreditation, each achievement reflects the people, leadership and culture behind our success.
Together, these achievements highlight the environment we're building, one where people are supported to develop, recognised for their contributions and encouraged to grow.
Here's a closer look at some of the highlights.
British Healthcare Trades Industry Awards
One of those achievements came at the British Healthcare Trades Industry Awards, where Homelifts Manager (North) Brandon Williams won Highly Commended in the Rising Star category.
Brandon's recognition reflects both his own dedication and the opportunities available to develop at Stiltz. Having joined as one of our first engineering apprentices in 2016, he has progressed into a leadership role over the past decade.
We've already shared Brandon's inspiring career journey, but his success is a great example of what's possible when talent is supported.
West Midlands Leadership Awards
Further recognition followed in March 2026 at the West Midlands Leadership Awards.
Hosted by TheBusinessDesk.com, the awards celebrated individuals making an impact across a variety of areas, including HR, sustainability, sales, marketing, technology and overall business leadership.
Stiltz Chairman and CEO, Mike Lord, was named Company Leader of a Business with 101+ Employees, recognising his leadership and the continued growth of the company.
Strong leadership helps create an environment where people understand the direction of the business, feel trusted to contribute and have opportunities to grow alongside it. This award recognised Mike’s role in shaping that direction and supporting Stiltz as it continues to develop.
TrustMark Accreditation
Another significant milestone came with Stiltz achieving TrustMark accreditation for Home Adaptations (Elderly & Disabled).
As the UK's only Government-endorsed quality scheme for work carried out in and around the home, TrustMark recognises businesses that meet rigorous standards for technical competence, customer service and trading practices.
For Stiltz People, it reflects the high standards we're committed to every day and reinforces the trust placed in our products and services by customers, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
Great Place to Work Certification
Perhaps our proudest achievement came in May 2026, when Stiltz achieved Great Place to Work Certification in both the UK and the US on our first attempt.
Great Place to Work is a globally recognised accreditation based on confidential feedback from employees. It assesses areas including trust, fairness, respect, pride and teamwork, making the certification a particularly meaningful reflection of everyday working life.
Among the standout results:
- 86% agreed that they can take time off when necessary
- 79% felt that management is competent at running the business
- 74% agreed that, taking everything into account, Stiltz is a great place to work
That last result is significantly above the average score of 57% achieved by many organisations and places Stiltz close to the benchmark set by the UK’s Top 100 Great Places to Work.
