Supporting Our People: Stiltz Introduces Menopause Policy
Menopause is a natural phase of life, marking the end of a woman’s reproductive years, typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55. Common symptoms can include hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog and sleep disturbances potentially making this time challenging, both personally and professionally.
Stiltz Homelifts are committed to creating a supportive work environment for all our people, for all stages of their lives.
To coincide with World Menopause Day, we acknowledge women’s menopause experiences and highlight the importance of empathy and understanding in the workplace. Whether it’s creating a comfortable environment, fostering open conversations or simply showing kindness, small actions can make a big impact in making colleagues feel supported.
Today, we launch our Menopause Policy. This is designed to offer support for those going through these changes giving them reassurance they are understood.
We also offer a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for any employee seeking confidential advice or support.
Stiltz Group People Director Tara Lochery shared:
“'On World Menopause Day, we are taking a moment to acknowledge the experiences of women going through menopause and emphasise the importance of empathy, one of our core values, in the workplace.
We aim to create a comfortable environment and facilitate open conversations around this sensitive and previously taboo topic. Small steps can make a big difference in supporting colleagues during this time. As a company, we understand the importance of supporting women during this time in their lives and have created a Menopause Policy outlining our support.”
Stiltz is committed to supporting colleagues through every stage of life, and we hope this policy reflects our ongoing dedication to employee well-being.
